This Is for the Cycle Breakers

We created Attachment Style Makeover for people who are tired of doing the emotional work alone.

For cycle breakers, soft life seekers, overfunctioning mothers, and high-achieving leaders raised in survival mode—this is your place.

You’ve read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Tried the affirmations. But no one explained how your attachment style shaped the way you show up in your relationships, your parenting, or your leadership.

We did.

What Are Attachment Styles

Attachment styles are emotional blueprints formed in childhood that influence how you trust, connect, and respond to emotional needs—yours and others’.

Whether you tend to overextend, pull away, freeze in conflict, or crave constant reassurance, these behaviors are shaped by your attachment style.

They show up in love, at work, and in how you parent.

The good news: attachment styles aren’t fixed. You can move toward secure attachment—with the right tools, language, and support. That’s why we created this space.

Rooted in Cultural Care

Most attachment tools ignore the emotional labor, cultural trauma, and generational expectations carried by BIPOC communities. Not this one.

We make healing tools that reflect your lived experience and honor the real-life dynamics of growing up in homes where emotions weren’t safe or secure.

Developed by licensed therapists Jessica Mayo, LPC and Miranda Campbell, MSM, LCSW, ASM blends attachment theory with culturally responsive tools for healing. We center the realities of identity, trauma, and culture that mainstream resources often ignore.

Jessica

Jessica Mayo, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, TEDx Speaker, and founder of The Beauti Clinic™, a mental wellness and beauty integration practice that centers the healing of body image, disordered eating, perfectionism, and relational trauma — particularly for high-achieving women of color navigating cultural, religious, and familial expectations.

With over 8 years of experience, Jessica has built a career bridging psychotherapy and beauty culture. As The Beauti Therapist™, she helps women dismantle internalized beauty ideals and comparison-based thinking through trauma-informed care, self-compassion, and somatic mindfulness. Her work is rooted in attachment theory, cultural humility, and the belief that beauty is not a performance — it’s a connection to self.

Jessica’s TEDx Talk, “The Cost of Body Shaming from a Recovering Body Shamer,” highlights her signature philosophy around Beauty Comparison Syndrome (BCS) — a term she coined to describe the emotional toll of modern beauty culture. Her viral message invites women to reclaim confidence, sensuality, and identity through inner healing, not perfectionism.

Jessica is also the co-author of the best-selling workbook, Attachment Style Makeover; and continues to be a sought-after speaker and collaborator for organizations and brands committed to decolonizing beauty and advancing mental wellness in marginalized communities.

Miranda

Miranda Campbell, LCSW, MSM, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Organizational Consultant, specializing in attachment trauma, relationship healing, and leadership development. As the co-author of Attachment Style Makeover, Miranda helps individuals break generational cycles, build secure relationships, and cultivate emotional resilience in both personal and professional spaces.

With 15 years of experience in trauma-informed care, Brainspotting, and attachment-based therapy, Miranda’s work bridges the gap between mental health, relationships, and workplace success. Whether she’s guiding clients through healing past wounds or helping leaders develop secure, high-performing teams, her approach is rooted in science, emotional intelligence, and real-world application.

She has been featured in podcasts and workshops discussing how attachment styles shape every aspect of our lives—from love and friendships to leadership and career growth. Passionate about making deep emotional work accessible and practical, Miranda empowers individuals and organizations to move from survival mode to thriving relationships.
